Staff Accountant

Kforce's client, a family-owned growing management company located in the St. Louis, MO area, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its expanding accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to build a strong foundation in accounting while gaining hands-on exposure to core financial processes. Thie role offers competitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan. The position will be fully in the office. Duties:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and prepare journal entries
- Support accounts payable processes and maintain accurate vendor records
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Support audit processes by compiling required documentation
- Assist with 1099 reporting and other compliance-related tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-2 years of accounting experience (internships count)
- Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Exposure to accounting systems (ERP experience a plus)
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
