Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant in St. Louis, MO. This role supports general ledger accounting and reporting, ensuring accurate financial records through reconciliations, journal entries, and close support. This role helps maintain compliance, improves processes, and supports audit readiness.

Type: Direct Hire/Permanent

Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

Compensation will vary upon experience:

Mid: $65,000 - $75,000
Senior: $80,000 - $95,000 (flexible)

Job Description

Prepare and post journal entries; support month-end/quarter-end/year-end close.
Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts; investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting schedules.
Support audit requests and maintain documentation for controls and compliance.
Provide ad hoc analysis and process improvement support within accounting workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of accounting experience with GL exposure.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software/ERP.
Experience with financial statement prep, audit support, or industry-specific accounting.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
