Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis area to identify a Staff Accountant. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's fixed assets and supporting key accounting operations. Looking for a well-rounded staff accountant that is open to learning fixed assets. Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent internal and external customer service aligned with company values
• Manage fixed asset activity including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and capital reporting
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
• Perform and document internal controls and support external audit requests
• Compile and analyze financial data with accuracy and attention to detail
• Assist with budgeting, process improvements, audits, and other accounting projects as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 1+ year of general accounting experience
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
• Experience with fixed assets, Workday a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
