Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Good Movement, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients experiencing functional limitations and disabilities, using evidence-based assessment tools.
• Developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate patient history, current capabilities, and personal goals to maximize recovery potential.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers, including physicians and interdisciplinary teams, to ensure a cohesive continuum of care for each patient.
• Administering therapeutic interventions, utilizing modalities, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy techniques to promote healing and strength.
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that care meets the highest professional standards.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation for all patient interactions, treatment results, and discharge plans in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Providing education and guidance to patients and their families, empowering them to participate in their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily be working with patients suffering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will be the key professional in helping patients navigate their recovery process, from initial assessments to discharge planning, ensuring they understand their treatment options and feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• At least two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with additional specialized training in manual therapy techniques, and experience working with diverse populations will be highly regarded. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a knack for team collaboration will further enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
