Job Summary We are looking for a Customer Service Representative at Rover Kennels – Culver City who can make every client feel like a VIP (Very Important Pet‑parent). The role blends concierge duties with the ability to handle phone and in‑person customer service while caring for pets. The candidate will be on their feet often, lift up to 40 lbs, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Welcome pet parents and their furry VIPs, making them feel like guests at a 5‑star resort. Answer phones with a friendly tone and multi‑task effectively. Tour new clients through the facility and sell services that keep tails wagging. Ensure up‑to‑date vaccinations are on file for safety compliance. Manage check‑ins and check‑outs efficiently with a personal touch. Handle cash, cards, and balance the end‑of‑day cash drawer accurately. Respond to complaints with patience and professionalism. Escort pet guests to and from enclosures with care and patience. Maintain a clean, welcoming lobby for first impressions and reunions. Assist team members as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ year of customer service experience preferred. Strong communication skills across phone, in‑person, and email modalities. Comfortable using multi‑line phones and computer systems. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism. Problem‑solving skills demonstrated, with a quick, efficient approach. People‑person who loves pets and can juggle multiple tasks. Benefits and Pay Telehealth, 401(k), and pet insurance. Pay starts at $17.87–$19.00 per hour DOE plus tips. Reporting to the General Manager.
