AI Solutions Consultant Location and schedule: New York City Role summary The client is seeking a 6 month Solutions Consultant to accelerate practical AI adoption across back office functions. This is an embedded, hands-on execution role. You will sit with stakeholders, map real workflows, determine the right approach, AI versus standard automation, and implement improvements iteratively. You will deliver fast time to value while leaving behind repeatable best practices. This is not strategy, engagement and training only. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves, ship working solutions, and enable teams to sustain and extend them. Why join High visibility and real impact. What you will do Consult and discover Sit with stakeholders across back office teams to understand day to day work, pain points, and constraints. Ask strong follow up questions, clarify requirements, and identify opportunities where small improvements compound. Choose the right solution path Distinguish between AI assisted solutions (for example LLM based drafting, summarization, classification, extraction, search, copilots) and traditional workflow automation or reporting where AI is unnecessary. When work is better suited for standard automation or engineering, partner with internal IT and development teams to route it through the appropriate delivery path. Work iteratively and implement best practices You will run a repeatable cycle with stakeholders. Discovery (short). Identify the workflow and define what good enough means. Prototype quickly. Demonstrate value early. Implement version 1. Deliver a usable solution in days. Feedback and refinement. Iterate toward 85 to 90 percent impact quickly. Codify best practices. Create reusable patterns such as approved prompt libraries and templates, usage guidelines and guardrails, lightweight workflow checklists, and documentation so teams can self-serve. Enable and empower teams Coach stakeholders at the right level of depth for their technical fluency. Create practical enablement artifacts so solutions persist beyond the engagement. Evaluate and recommend tools thoughtfully Leverage existing tools, where applicable. Where needed, recommend new tools based on observed workflows and support the firm tool onboarding and policy process. What success looks like Success is primarily qualitative, measured by outcomes and stakeholder feedback. Fast time to value. Tangible improvements delivered in days or weeks, not months. Meaningful workflow lift. Stakeholders report they are materially more efficient and spending less time on tedious, low value work. Iterative delivery is visible. You consistently ship version 1, gather feedback, and improve. Best practices are adopted. Teams actively use and reuse the artifacts you create, including prompt libraries, templates, guardrails, and documented workflows. Empowered users. Stakeholders can run with what is built and extend it independently, with IT support when needed. Compounding impact. Multiple improvements across a couple dozen tasks add up to clear organizational ROI. Required qualifications Strong generalist technologist with hands on experience applying modern AI tools to real workflows. Proven ability to partner directly with non technical stakeholders and translate ambiguity into delivery. Demonstrated track record of iterative implementation, prototype to test to refine, and pragmatic decision making. High EQ and excellent communication. Able to listen deeply, build trust, and tailor explanations to different audiences. Judgment to select traditional automation when appropriate. Preferred qualifications Approximately 8 to 12 years of relevant experience (engineering, internal tools, solutions, automation, product, or similar). Experience operating in security conscious or regulated environments and collaborating with InfoSec. Experience partnering with IT and developers to productionize solutions when coding is required.
