Step into a hands-on role in Franklin, WI, where you’ll assemble electrical switch equipment that powers industrial and commercial environments. As an Electro‑Mechanical Switchgear Assembly Technician in a contract-to-perm position, you’ll spend your days turning prints into finished assemblies using a full range of shop tools and material‑handling equipment.

A day in the life

You clock in for 1st shift at 5:00 AM. After reviewing the day’s assembly prints and work instructions, you stage components, measure twice, and begin building. You’ll mount and bolt parts, route hardware, verify torque, and perform in‑process inspections. When a subassembly needs positioning, you’ll move it safely with material-handling gear or an overhead crane. Throughout the day, you balance pace and precision—meeting production targets while holding tight to quality standards. You wrap by confirming your work against the print and prepping for the next build.

What you’ll do

• Assemble electrical switch equipment at assigned production stations from assembly prints and procedures.
• Identify, transport, install, mount, and bolt mechanical and electrical components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, air impact tools, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and simple measuring instruments (including tape measures).
• Conduct in‑process mechanical inspections and make simple adjustments as needed.
• Use material‑handling equipment and overhead cranes when required.
• Meet throughput goals while maintaining quality expectations.

Schedule, pay, and path

• Hours: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM (Friday overtime as needed).
• Compensation: $20.00/hour – firm .
• Engagement: Contract‑to‑perm with the opportunity to convert to the client.

What you bring

• Assembly experience or strong mechanical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of basic mechanical assembly operations.
• Comfort using hand, power, and air impact tools.
• Shop math and measuring proficiency, including tape measure use.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and assembly prints.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints or assembly prints.
• Wiring experience.
