Our organization is a physician-led multi-specialty group with over 650 providers, currently in search of a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologist who is dedicated to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. This position focuses on inpatient care, specifically for stroke and general neurology patients at our Time Sensitive Emergency Level 1 (Comprehensive) Stroke Center located in Boise. The work schedule consists of a 7-day work week, with two weeks of day shifts (Monday to Friday, including Saturday and Sunday) each month.

The Neuroscience Institute at our facility fosters teamwork among a diverse group of specialists, including neurosurgeons, neurologists, vascular neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and oncologists. Boise is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, while Nampa holds a Primary+ Stroke designation. Our Boise location features a Fellowship-trained Neurocritical Care (NCC) unit, which is entirely managed by MDs, equipped with 18 Neuro/Trauma ICU beds and 17 Neuro step-down beds. The NCC ICU operates under an attending service model, while the Neurohospitalist (NH) provides consultative services for acute care and leads all brain attack activations during their shifts. Our telestroke hub-and-spoke model encompasses six emergency departments and six independent regional hospitals.

Support Services: We offer a well-established outpatient neurology clinic and an inpatient neurology program in Boise, complemented by employed interventional radiology (NIR) partners for procedures. Our stroke coordinators and comprehensive elective interventional neuroradiology services include biplane angiography, MRI/MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventions for stroke, fistula, intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD), and aneurysms.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.

• Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Neurology; Fellowship training in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular, or similar fields is advantageous.

• Board certification or the ability to achieve certification within three years of employment.

• Eligibility for Idaho medical licensure, OR telehealth license, and necessary privileges at our organization and affiliated hospitals.

• Current controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
