Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.Position OverviewThe Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center is recruiting for a Director of Lung Transplant in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Sleep Medicine to lead with a commitment to excellence in the clinical, research, and educational missions. Eligible candidates should be at the Associate Professor or Professor level.The ideal candidate will be someone with an emerging or established leadership background in Transplant Pulmonology at an academic center. Eligible candidates will need to articulate a clear vision for a forward-thinking strategy aimed at enhancing growth in clinical operations and research/scholarship. The Director will demonstrate the ability to lead a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team within a high-volume lung transplant program with continuing growth.The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep MedicineThe Division of Pulmonology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, led by Division Director Dr. Jeffrey Horowitz, boasts a broad array of clinical opportunities with sections of general pulmonary and critical care medicine, transplant pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonary medicine that are complemented by clinical, translational and basic research, and substantial educational opportunities. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research.Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure.
