Work Environment

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including detailed history reviews and specific assessments, to develop personalized treatment plans that address individual patient needs.
• Implement effective treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and adapt plans as necessary to align with the patient's ongoing health status and recovery goals.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care activities including progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required records in compliance with insurance and regulatory standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and maximize recovery outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and preventative care measures to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions to enhance clinical knowledge and share best practices within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals facing orthopedic challenges, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and mobility issues. As a Physical Therapist in this setting, you will work closely with a diverse patient base, tailoring rehabilitation strategies to maximize functional independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to formulate effective treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), and previous roles involving patient education will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
