Position Overview

Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our team in Woodbridge, Virginia. In this role, you will be pivotal in helping our patients restore mobility and improve their overall quality of life. You will work in an outpatient setting focusing on orthopedic issues, playing a critical role in their recovery and rehabilitation processes.

Work Environment

This position is based in our Woodbridge, Virginia outpatient office, where you will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). The environment encourages collaboration, allowing healthcare professionals to work together to create tailored treatment plans and share expertise. Operating onsite from Monday to Friday, you will have consistent hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients thoroughly to understand their specific needs and establish treatment goals.
• Manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring personalized care and attention.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans drawing on various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Administer therapies focused on improving mobility and range of motion, while emphasizing non-invasive options to minimize reliance on medications and surgeries.
• Provide education and counseling to motivate patients and foster their active participation in recovery.
• Track patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions accurately, following compliance guidelines while maintaining a patient-centric focus.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation and management of sports injuries. Many of our patients possess private medical insurance, reflecting a demographic that is motivated to achieve excellent health and wellness outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations and help individuals regain their strength, flexibility, and coordination, which aligns with their personal and professional goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure comprehensive knowledge of patient care.
• A valid license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia, with a commitment to maintaining its good standing.
• No record of disciplinary actions or issues with your license ensures a trustworthy practice.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, tailored exercises, and the use of EMR software, such as WebPT, to enhance efficiency in practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable. Candidates with a history of similar roles will be favored.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches will set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
