Case Mix: Consistent with Emergency Medicine procedures

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 15-bed Emergency Department
Specialty Backup Available: Yes, dependable specialty support
Support Staff Available: APCs (10 hours/day)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Moderate Sedation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or equivalent experience
Licenses: Active IN Medical License, IN State Controlled Substance, DEA with IN address
DEA / CDS: Active DEA with IN address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4
Certifications: BLS or CPR
Experience: EM residency graduates within 12 months, or IM with 5 years high-volume (>30,000 visits/year) ED experience
Other Qualifications: Documentation of case logs for past 2 years, Completed CME Attestation Form, Immunizations: Flu, TB, COVID

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a low-volume, high-efficiency ED.
Manage patient throughput and collaborate with APC support to optimize workflow.
Perform emergency procedures including moderate sedation.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the modern EMR system.
Participate in a collaborative team environment with dependable specialty support.
