Operations Specialist - New Accounts

Looking to level up your operations experience within a reputable St. Louis-based financial firm? We are partnering with our Fortune 500 financial client to find an Operations Specialist to join their New Accounts team .
This is a 1-year contract opportunity with a hybrid schedule (Tuesday-Thursday onsite) at their Maryland Heights, MO campus.
As an Operations Specialist, you will oversee and optimize day-to-day operational processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and smooth workflow across departments. This is a production environment role supporting W-9 and Substitute W-9 workflows , where accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance are critical. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute operational functions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Support W-9 and Substitute W-9 workflows, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Review, process, and resolve W-9 and Substitute W-9 documentation issues in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining organization and attention to detail
- Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement operational procedures and policies
- Prepare and present operational reports to management
- Strong analytical background with excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production environment
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Passion for solving complex challenges and improving processes
