Visual Media Coordinator

St. Sebastian’s School is seeking a creative, collaborative, and motivated Visual Media Coordinator to join our Communications Department. This full-time role will help tell the story of our vibrant school community through photography, video, and digital storytelling that reflects our mission, values, and the experiences that define life at St. Sebastian’s. You’ll capture and produce high-quality visual content that highlights student life, athletics, events, traditions, and community moments. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across the School to bring the St. Sebastian’s story to life across digital platforms, social media, print publications, and other communications channels. Salary: $64,000–$78,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position also offers flexibility during the summer months, with schedules adjusted based on the needs of the School and the person in the role. What You’ll Do Photograph and film school life, events, athletics, and community gatherings. Edit photos and videos for web, print, social media, and campaign use. Create engaging short-form and long-form videos for multiple platforms. Organize and maintain the School’s digital media archive. Publish visual content and help tell the St. Sebastian’s story across the website and digital platforms. Contribute creative ideas and help shape the visual storytelling that brings the St. Sebastian’s experience to life. What We’re Looking For Professional experience in photography, videography, visual communications, or a related field preferred, with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling skills. Experience photographing fast-paced sports and events required; drone experience and FAA certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Visual Media, Film, Photography, Public Relations, or a related field preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines. Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to cover events.
