PainterPerform skilled painting and related maintenance work in the repair, renovation, and alteration of buildings and facilities across East Carolina University's campus. Prepare and apply protective and decorative coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Perform surface preparation, including patching, taping, finishing drywall, and applying initial and finish coats of plaster to walls and ceilings. Ensure paint, materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained for assigned projects. Maintain inventory and oversee the care, cleaning, and storage of brushes, sprayers, paints, oils, and other trade-related equipment and materials to support efficient and safe operations.High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
