Technical Project Manager
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)
Note: This is not an Infrastructure PM role. We are looking for a Project Manager with experience supporting software development and technology delivery teams, rather than hands-on technical implementation.
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology initiatives within a dynamic enterprise environment. This role requires a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving projects from initiation through delivery while managing risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects and programs.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Drive project planning, tracking, reporting, and governance activities.
- Lead teams through organizational and project-related changes in fast-paced environments.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address roadblocks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making across all levels of the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management or Program Management.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
- Experience managing large-scale technology projects in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of technical solutions and vendor products, including vendor management experience.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate changing business requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with project planning and project management tools.
- PMP Certification
- AWS Cloud Certification (preferred)
- Experience within the Financial Services Industry
- Familiarity with Confluence and related collaboration tools
- Exposure to Agentic AI initiatives, automation, or AI-driven reporting solutions
- Experience creating or managing technology reporting dashboards and HTML-based project reports
