Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a family-owned growing management company located in the St. Louis, MO area, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its expanding accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to build a strong foundation in accounting while gaining hands-on exposure to core financial processes. Thie role offers competitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan. The position will be fully in the office.Duties:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and prepare journal entries
• Support accounts payable processes and maintain accurate vendor records
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Support audit processes by compiling required documentation
• Assist with 1099 reporting and other compliance-related tasks

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0-2 years of accounting experience (internships count)
• Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Exposure to accounting systems (ERP experience a plus)
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
