If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development.Job Summary:Lead the transformation of our ligand binding bioanalytical laboratory into an end-to-end digitally orchestrated and physically automated operation powered by AI-assisted workflows. This role drives the design, deployment, and adoption of new ways of working across sample handling, instrument integration, digital data capture, automated review and reporting, and compliant documentation.What You'll Be Doing:Lead the automation transformation roadmap from concept through scaled deploymentDesign and optimize end-to-end workflows across sample receipt, preparation, analysis, data capture, review, and reportingManage change across scientists, Quality Control, and operations by addressing skill gaps, role evolution, and adoption needsLead a multidisciplinary team of automation engineers, scientists, and QC documentation specialists to deliver measurable resultsDefine and prioritize the automation product backlog, including requirements, delivery sequencing, and user adoptionEstablish effective operating rhythms such as sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and release reviews where appropriatePartner with Quality to implement quality-by-design, validation strategies, change control, and inspection readinessDrive adoption through training, playbooks, ownership models, and clear exception-handling processesWhat We Are Looking For:Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering or related field required5+ years in laboratory operations, lab transformation, automation programs, or digital lab systems.Experience implementing lab automation and/or digital lab platforms, including LIMS, ELN, and instrument integrationFamiliarity with validation approaches and regulated laboratory environments, including risk-based validation, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11 concepts, data integrity, and audit trailsOther equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degreeThe Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:Strong leadership capability with experience guiding cross-functional technical teams through complex transformation initiativesExcellent communication and stakeholder influence skills across scientists, engineers, Quality, IT, and leadershipAbility to lead change effectively, resolve resistance through engagement, and build adoption into solutions from day oneLean and agile operational leadership in technical or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with AI-assisted workflows such as automated review, anomaly detection, and report draftingWhat We Offer You:We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
