Cost Accountant I

Job Title
Role and Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day partnering with operations teams, including project support, development of metrics and ad hoc reporting.
- Ensure validity of manufacturing costs through variance analysis and account reconciliations
- Review and validate the valuation of inventory, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain standard costs for new products and updating enter new rates for existing products.
- Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and cost accounting close activities.
- Assists with various ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- Excel proficiency (vlookup, pivot tables)
- Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking
- Data analysis
- Experience with ERP Systems (preferred)
