Product Strategy, FCM / Futures Clearing Specialist - Vice President

- Develop product strategy for State Street Markets’ Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) business
- Drive product development by defining, designing, and implementing solutions and operating models for complex initiatives
- Support SSM’s FCM strategy, including execution and futures clearing, broker-dealer products, and cross-margining capabilities
- Identify opportunities to enhance the Execution, Financing, and Clearing (EFC) product set
- Serve as subject matter expert for EFC’s FCM/Futures Clearing product
- Support teams in understanding and delivering client solutions
- Monitor industry developments
- Represent EFC in industry and client discussions concerning clearing, cross-margining, risk, and regulatory concepts
- Collaborate with Trading, Operations, Relationship Management, Legal, Risk, Finance, Regulatory, Compliance, and Technology functions
- Manage regulatory change and provide solutions to existing and prospective clients
Requirements
- +10 years of experience in financial services
- Direct experience driving product enhancement at an FCM broker-dealer
- Experience covering listed futures and options
- Understanding of FCM/futures execution and clearing mechanics
- Understanding of cross-product margining
- Familiarity with industry-standard IT and risk vendor solutions used by FCMs and/or broker-dealers
- Strong understanding of FCM registration and associated regulatory framework, including CFTC/NFA, exchange and clearinghouse membership requirements, and customer protection and segregation frameworks
- Familiarity with FICC-cleared repo indirect access models is preferred
- Ability to lead, prioritize, and execute multiple simultaneous priorities and initiatives within defined timeframes
- Intellectual curiosity, creativity, attention to detail, and ability to distil complex concepts for varied audiences
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed approach
