Senior Legal Recruiting Manager

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting to lead attorney recruitment initiatives for its New York office. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with firm leadership, hiring committees, and legal recruiting professionals to drive strategic hiring efforts across multiple talent pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage lateral associate recruiting, judicial clerk hiring, and law student recruitment initiatives
- Lead the planning and execution of the firm's law student recruiting season, including OCI, callback interviews, and offer management
- Develop and maintain relationships with law schools, career services professionals, and student organizations
- Oversee summer associate recruiting, programming, events, and candidate experience initiatives
- Partner with practice group leadership to understand hiring needs and execute lateral recruiting strategies
- Collaborate with hiring committees and key stakeholders throughout the recruitment process
- Analyze recruiting metrics and trends to support strategic decision-making
- Assist with recruiting budgets, reporting, and special projects
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of attorney/legal recruiting experience within a law firm environment
- Experience supporting both law student recruiting and lateral associate hiring preferred
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven project management and organizational abilities
- Experience utilizing recruiting systems and reporting tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ideal Background: The firm is only considering candidates with current or prior law firm legal recruiting experience , whether focused on law student recruiting, attorney recruiting, lateral recruiting, or a combination of these areas. Candidates coming directly from law firms or those who have previous law firm experience and have since expanded into broader talent acquisition leadership roles are encouraged to apply.
