Senior Warehouse Associate

This position typically starts at $20-$22 per hour and works primarily day shift during weekdays, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members begin accruing PTO on day one, and full‑time employees become eligible for benefits after 90 days of service. The Senior Warehouse Associate is the lead hourly operator and on‑floor subject matter expert overseeing all warehouse activities. The role coordinates daily receiving, inventory control, requisition fulfillment, internal distribution, and overall workflow execution. Beyond task completion, it requires real‑time prioritization, issue resolution, training support, procedural reinforcement, and oversight of control‑sensitive activities within a regulated casino environment. Receiving & Intake Leadership Lead and support daily receiving operations to ensure inbound product is unloaded, verified, documented, and routed accurately. Review purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and delivery paperwork to verify quantity, item accuracy, and receiving completeness. Make real‑time decisions on dock prioritization, staging sequence, unloading order, and space utilization based on demand. Identify damaged goods, shortages, overages, and vendor discrepancies; determine containment steps and elevate unresolved issues. Serve as the hourly contact for receiving issues and coordinate with supervisors, purchasing, vendors, and impacted departments when exceptions occur. Inventory Control & Accuracy Oversight Lead cycle counts, monthly inventories, spot checks, and variance follow‑up to support inventory integrity and audit readiness. Monitor warehouse organization, labeling, slotting, and stock‑rotation standards. Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend or implement corrective actions within approved procedures. Act as the first level of review for unusual movements, missing product, incorrect receipts, or fulfillment variances before escalation. Partner with finance, accounting, and leadership on inventory adjustments, reconciliations, and documentation support. Order Fulfillment & Property Distribution Ownership Coordinate and prioritize requisition fulfillment based on urgency, volume, and department needs. Verify pick accuracy, staging completeness, and timely delivery to food and beverage, hotel, facilities, and other operating departments. Reassign or redirect workflow during high‑volume periods to maintain service levels and reduce delays. Support and oversee movement of large, high‑value, or critical assets such as refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, and furniture. Serve as the first escalation point for delayed fulfillment, incorrect deliveries, backorders, or special handling requirements. Warehouse Operations & Team Coordination Act as lead on shift by directing day‑to‑day activity, balancing workloads, and reinforcing priorities set by leadership. Guide associates on receiving flow, put‑away, picking, staging, equipment usage, housekeeping, and safe work practices. Assist with onboarding and training of new team members, reinforcing procedures and documentation standards. Monitor floor activity and proactively adjust labor or task assignments to support throughput and service continuity. Recommend process improvements related to space utilization, material flow, dock control, and fulfillment efficiency. Safety, Compliance & Internal Controls Reinforce safety expectations and ensure adherence to procedures for lifting, handling, equipment usage, and housekeeping. Monitor compliance with OSHA, Health Department, company safety standards, and internal control requirements. Ensure controlled handling of inventory transactions and physically sensitive or restricted materials. Verify PIT equipment is operated only by authorized personnel and that daily practices align with certification and safety expectations. Escalate safety concerns, policy violations, control failures, and equipment issues promptly. Service & Culture Expectations Model a professional, service‑oriented approach in support of internal departments, vendors, and team members. Maintain strong communication with supervisors and internal customers regarding priorities, disruptions, and issue status. Set the daily tone for accountability, teamwork, punctuality, and professionalism through visible leadership. Report to work prepared and in compliance with appearance, identification, and uniform standards. Promote a positive work environment through collaboration, respectful communication, and consistent follow‑through on commitments. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with guests, coworkers, and management. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Two to four years of warehouse, logistics, receiving, or distribution experience; prior lead or informal leadership preferred. Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations, receiving controls, inventory processes, and internal service requirements. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively. Working knowledge of inventory systems, warehouse documentation, data entry, and basic transaction processing. Strong mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, quantity verification, accurate record‑keeping). Licensing & Certifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class E Driver’s License. Must be certified, or become certified, in safe operation of PIT equipment (forklifts, electric walkie/rider pallet jacks, and electric jacks). Physical & Work Environment Requirements Lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 25 pounds, and lift up to 80 pounds in certain tasks. Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, squatting, climbing ladders, and moving heavy loads throughout the shift. Maintain strenuous activity for prolonged periods. Work in extremely cold conditions, up to minus 20 degrees, including freezer or cold‑storage environments. Work effectively in loud, fast‑paced, high‑traffic areas with dust, bright lights, and second‑hand smoke. Maneuver safely around warehouse, dock, back‑of‑house, and office areas while responding to visual and aural cues. Remain effective under time constraints, changing priorities, and stressful operating conditions. Schedule & Availability Primarily supports day‑shift operations, with schedule flexibility required based on business volume and coverage needs. Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Available to work any day of the week and any shift based on business demands or staffing requirements. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate aligned to a lead‑level warehouse position; rate may reflect experience and internal market placement.
