Registered Nurse - Cardiac Tele

CARDIAC TELEMTRY RN **RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.** REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: BLS & ACLS required NIHSS preferred 2 years of cardiac experience required MS/Tele/Step down experience preferred First time travelers accepted (as long as they have 2 years of cardiac experience) JOB DETAILS: Shift: 12hr 0645-1915 (will accept 36 or 48 hr contracts) *Will accept longer contracts 13-26 weeks* Float required as needed Weekend coverage required - 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks Call not required Ratio: 1:6 *Will not accept more than 7 days of RTO* Must be willing to work holidays ** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, Aortic stenosis/regurgitation, Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis, Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD PAD, Vasculitis, Carotid stenosis, Venous stasis, sheath management, sheath removal. SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, Carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, Amputations, Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery, Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures, Pacemaker placements. SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Arterial lines (not required), Doppler, Bladder scanner, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, Chest tubes, Epicardial Pacing Wires. UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, & SBAR UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours SCRUBS: Navy blue pants & white top *** INTERNAL NOTES *** *Please review against the UD *MUST Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty. *Locals accepted at local rate ***Every candidate will be interviewed.
