Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL with offices across Florida New York New Jersey and Washington DC, we are a well-established multi-practice commercial law firm known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results. The Fort Lauderdale office is expanding and seeking an experienced Collection and Foreclosure Paralegal to join a growing team handling association, bank and bankruptcy collection matters. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal who values teamwork, professional growth and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lien and foreclosure documents including intent letters, complaint packages, pleadings, summary judgment motions, affidavits and final judgments with accuracy and efficiency
• Communicate professionally with delinquent owners, process payments and prepare balance due letters, payoff letters and estoppels
• Support bank and bankruptcy actions including answers and affirmative defenses, notices of hearing, notices of appearance and proof of claim exhibits
• Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Florida Condominium, Cooperative and Homeowners' Association Acts while preparing hearing materials and guiding team assistants

Qualifications

• High school diploma required (bachelor's degree preferred)
• 2+ years of collection and foreclosure paralegal experience with knowledge of FDCPA and Florida association law
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook preferred
