Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews with clients to thoroughly assess their mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings from the initial consultation through the duration of treatment.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that encompass individual, group, and family therapy modalities, focusing on effective techniques to foster recovery.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to explore their thoughts and emotions in a safe and supportive environment.

• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes; utilize outcome measures to assess improvements and areas needing attention.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to develop and refine comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Assist in managing referrals and coordinate care effectively for clients who may require additional support; follow up on recommendations provided by other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for efficient documentation and case management.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature to build rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth setting.

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychotherapy, including familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Experience working with clients having co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• In-depth understanding of the impact of psychotropic medications and collaboration with prescribing physicians.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
