Litigation Secretary

One of the leading Law Firms in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Litigation Secretary to support a busy legal team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, proofread, and format pleadings, briefs, declarations, motions, and other legal documents.
- Handle California state court filings, arbitration filings, and occasional federal court filings.
- Prepare and maintain Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA).
- Ensure proper formatting of legal documents, including headers, footers, pagination, and styles.
- Coordinate preparation, filing, and service of litigation documents.
- Manage document organization and maintain accurate case files.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize Law & Motion filings, including motions, oppositions, replies, declarations, exhibits, and supporting documents.
- Assist attorneys with general litigation support and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a law firm environment preferred.
- Prior litigation experience required; practice area experience may vary.
- Strong computer and technical skills are essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal software programs.
- Experience with e-discovery platforms and legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Experience with Relativity a plus.
- Excellent proofreading, writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
