Accountant

The role supports the Finance department with month‑end close processes, monthly accrual and prepaid calculations, balance sheet review, operational expense reporting, and intercompany transactions. Responsibilities Assist in month‑end close processes, monthly accrual and prepaid calculations, and balance sheet review. Prepare and review freight expense reports, including per‑unit trend analysis. Support pool reporting, contractual matters, and annual reconciliation. Prepare and report on quarterly and semi‑annual intercompany transactions in accordance with contractual agreements. Assist service centers with expense review, accruals, and other reporting. Review internal processes to ensure financial/reporting accuracy and integrity. Monitor monthly balance sheet reconciliations, track outstanding items, and lead monthly balance sheet reviews. Assist in preparation and reporting for the year‑end financial audit. Contribute to other Finance department activities and provide input for process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accountant‑level experience. Strong process review and documentation background. Experience in a corporate environment. Advanced proficiency with Excel. Proficiency with SAP strongly desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple priorities. Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and flexible. Computer literacy, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Hybrid role – expected to work on site 2–3 days per week.
