Location The Pig – South Downs, Arundel, BN18 0NL Salary OTE £38,480 per annum (OTE £18.50 per hour) including tronc. Hours 40 hours per week, including paid overtime. Job Overview A Junior Sous role at The Pig is like no other. We source all our produce from our own home‑grown kitchen garden and what we can’t grow from local suppliers within a 25‑mile radius. This allows our chefs to create our daily changing menus and work with the freshest seasonal produce available. We are fast‑paced and energetic, and we look for individuals with enthusiasm, skilful knife work, and a bucketful of passion. Responsibilities Assist the Sous‑Chef and Head Chef in running the kitchen, managing one of four sections, providing new menu ideas, and overseeing health and safety, ordering and staff rotas. Serve as a confident Junior Sous, supporting a dynamic team. Experience multiple properties in the group and potentially step up to a Senior Sous role. Show knowledge of all kitchen areas. Display passion for modern British food and sustainability. Hold previous experience in a similar role. Lead, teach and inspire apprentices through the award‑winning apprenticeship programme.
