Position Summary

The Swiss Farms General Manager (GM) oversees all daily store operations, ensures outstanding customer service, manages staffing, manages inventory management, orders and recieves deliveries from 20+ vendors, and maintains high standards for inventory, safety, and financial performance. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations & Leadership

• Oversee all day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth, efficient workflow.
• Train, lead, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented culture consistent with Swiss Farms standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Customer Service Excellence

• Deliver the warm, personal drive-thru experience that defines Swiss Farms.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain clean, well-organized store layouts that support fast service and easy ordering.

Inventory & Product Management

• Manage ordering, receiving, stocking, and product rotation.
• Ensure proper execution of merchandising standards.
• Monitor waste, shrink, and product quality.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile variances.

Financial Performance

• Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales and margin goals.
• Analyze store performance data and report back to the corporate team.
• Maintain cash-handling accuracy and security.

Team Development

• Recruit new team members and work with the corporate team to get them hired.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all employees adhere to food safety and cleanliness guidelines.
• Maintain a safe work environment and conduct regular safety checks.
• Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in retail, grocery, convenience, or food service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and inventory software.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs or more and stand for extended periods.
