Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
Formulate customized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and families to design cohesive care strategies.
Provide education for patients and their families, empowering them to support progress outside of clinical interactions.
Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
Keep meticulous documentation aligned with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Engage in continuous professional development by staying abreast of advancements in the field through education and peer networking.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups with a thorough understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Capability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical acumen and problem-solving skills.
Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
