Richards Industrials is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-oriented CNC Operator. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Position Overview

Richards Industrials, founded in 1961, is a manufacturer of pressure regulators, control valves, and other fluid control products. The company serves a range of end markets, including pharmaceutical, food & beverage, chemical, petrochemical, and various industrial segments.

Responsibilities

• Machine operation/production
• Load/unload parts within qualified time given
• Distinguish and identify proper tooling/collects/fixtures and jaws for efficient set-up
• Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability
• Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
• Post edits CNC program to fine tune process for optimum performance
• Perform "first-piece" in-process inspection
• Machine set up
• Continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of CNC machining experience
• General PC knowledge
• Knowledge of AS400 system
• Knowledge of CNC Turning/Mill Machine
• Capable of handling 50 lb. to 200 lb. valve bodies with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors, and hoists
• Ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time
• Ability to work weekends and overtime when scheduled
