License/Certs: BCLS and NBSTSA

Experience: Minimum 2 years OR/Surgical Tech experience (with transplant experience required)

What You'll Do

• Support surgical teams by preparing the OR with correct sterile setup and supplies for surgical cases
• Assist during procedures as a scrub role using aseptic technique and maintaining sterile fields
• Maintain readiness for high-volume surgical days with consistent case support and room turnover readiness
• Anticipate and support surgeon/team needs based on procedure type and required instrumentation
• Follow infection control and safety protocols throughout all surgical activities
• Work effectively across specialty case types supported by the OR (as applicable to the unit/case mix)

This role requires transplant experience. Candidates must be able to scrub liver recipient transplants independently. What You Need Required

• BCLS
• NBSTSA
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Demonstrated ability to scrub liver recipient transplants independently (last time/how recently you scrubbed liver transplant, and at which facility)
• Experience with large open belly cases and general OR aseptic technique
• Ability to support surgical cases across multiple specialty areas (as applicable)

Preferred

• Experience with high-complexity transplant and specialty procedures (examples referenced for this role include Whipple, liver resection, free flap, and additional specialty case support)

About the Assignment This Surgical Services opportunity is based at a high-activity surgical environment in Indianapolis, IN, supporting a busy OR with multiple rooms and substantial daily surgical volume. The shift is a consistent night schedule, and the role includes call coverage as scheduled.

Call Requirement: 4060 hours of call in a 6-week schedule (holidays required)

Surgical Case Volume: Daily average 35

Rooms: 22

Special Equipment: DaVinci XI

(Detailed transplant case and skills expectations apply; liver transplant independent scrubbing is a hard requirement.)
