Job Summary The Educational Aide position in the Natural Sciences office plays a vital role in promoting the mission of the department. It involves a variety of clerical and professional tasks that support the department's main office. The position is designed for students and focuses on customer service and professional skill development. The student assistant will work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Provide coverage of the front desk and phones, greeting callers and visitors politely. Answer phone calls, transfer callers to staff or professors, and take accurate messages. Make copies and scan documents for the office. Run errands such as delivering items to other offices. Maintain office supplies for the department. Interact with the public, students, staff, and faculty to provide information about department operations. Assist various departments such as the museum, planetarium, and science labs. Qualifications Currently enrolled Santa Fe College student in good academic and behavioral standing. Taking six (6) or more credit hours. Undergo a criminal background check. Ability to work successfully in a multicultural environment. Strong customer‑service skills and patience when assisting individuals with limited computer skills. Detail‑oriented with proven accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, civility, and strong ethical standards.
