Senior Accountant

LaSalle Network is hiring for a Senior Accountant with a public accounting-leading company known for a flexible, family-oriented culture and long-term growth opportunities. This is a replacement hire for a permanent Senior Accountant stepping into an established client portfolio to support continued coverage across full-cycle accounting, payroll and tax-related responsibilities. This position is 100% on-site in Orland Park, Illinois in a small, close-knit environment. The workload is steady throughout the year with a predictable busy-season ramp. Responsibilities Process bookkeeping from start to finish for assigned clients, including bank reconciliations, AR/AP balancing and fixed asset balancing Analyze completed financial statements and reporting Process live payroll for clients and submit payroll tax payments on behalf of clients File quarterly state and federal payroll tax returns File sales tax returns monthly, quarterly and annually as needed Review and sign individual 1040 tax returns Process and sign corporate 1120 and 1120S tax returns Process and sign partnership 1065 tax returns Communicate and correspond with IRS and other governing bodies on behalf of clients Conduct tax interviews with clients Communicate with clients by phone and email Calculate tax projections for business owners Develop bookkeeping processes and help get new clients on track Complete tax research as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting Enrolled Agent, CPA, or 5+ years of experience in public accounting In-depth bookkeeping, payroll, income and sales tax knowledge Advanced Excel knowledge (familiar with basic formulas and pivot tables) Great team player and detail-oriented Key Details Employment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 Benefits (Direct Hire): Medical Insurance Location: Orland Park, Illinois Work Model: On-site LaSalle Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer m/f/d/v.
