Job Title Project Manager Supervisor, Distribution Programs Salary Grade G05 $94,831 - $128,022 - $161,213 Preferences PMP certification preferred Project management experience, preferably within construction and/or utility environments Demonstrated experience leading and supervising teams Proven ability to manage complex projects and balance multiple priorities effectively Summary Responsible for the overall direction and supervision of New Service Delivery (NSD) Project Managers statewide for distribution capital, operations, and maintenance activities. Supervises, trains, and directs Project Managers and provides administrative support to management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee Project Managers from assignment to completion, ensuring PRC required deadlines are met. Execute program goals, manage project implementation within the Project Management function. Promote development of new construction techniques and standards for efficient practices. Manage a high-volume workload in a complex utility systems environment. Hold employees accountable for timely, professional project completion and maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with other Department Supervisors to allocate resources effectively for customer and company needs, ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and governmental regulations. Provide technical input for design of new construction, system reliability, and maintenance. Review and approve design for new construction, system reliability, and maintenance; ensure Project Managers provide scheduling and construction input, offering direct input when necessary. Delegate task and project assignments to Project Managers; oversee and assist with planning, coordination, and direction of large or multiple smaller projects. Plan, organize, and facilitate regular staff meetings with Project Managers. Competencies Independent decision-making requiring judgment, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Project oversight ensuring completion on time and within budget. Resolution of broad technical or organizational issues affecting company goals. Application of broad engineering principles to complex construction projects, including electric distribution systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to negotiate and interpret complex business contracts. Understanding of governmental rules, regulations, and company policies applicable to area of responsibility. Promotion of a high-performance team, positive attitude, self‑motivation, and flexibility to change. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university with 5 to 7 years of related experience, including 2 years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Current, legally valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. Communication Skills Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Mathematical Skills Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts. Computer Skills Knowledge of spreadsheet and word-processing software. Advanced knowledge of BANNER and PassPort, FMS, and other company systems used by the team. Analysis and Problem‑Solving Ability Solve practical problems and address a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization. Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands Walk, sit, and/or stand regularly (2/3 of the time). Fine dexterity required; occasional lifting/moving up to 10 pounds. Travel required; possible exposure to hazardous conditions on some job sites. Work Environment Field/Office environment.
