About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice Chair of Clinical Operations, Quality, and Innovation for its Department of Family Medicine. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the department's clinical services, with a strong focus on innovation, quality improvement, and health equity. This leadership position involves working closely with the Chair to develop and execute departmental strategies, oversee quality improvement initiatives, and foster excellence in education and research. The role also includes a medical director position at a suburban clinical site, precepting in an urban family medicine residency program, and responsibilities for clinical care, teaching, and the development of efficient clinical operations. Applicants for the Vice Chair position should be board-certified in family medicine, with a current CT state license or eligibility. A minimum of 5 years' experience in leading progressive improvements within a clinical environment, particularly in quality improvement and operational management, is required. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, experience with budget preparation, and a proven track record of collaboration and leadership. Additional training such as an MBA, MHA, MPH, or clinical informatics, and experience with value-based care and EHR data analysis, are preferred. The role demands a candidate with a strong work ethic, integrity, and the ability to mentor and lead by example in a complex, academic, and research-oriented healthcare setting.
