Job Overview

Sigma Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Clerical Support / Administrative Clerk to join a state agency within the Bureau of Special Education Appeals in Malden, MA. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a government/legal administrative environment supporting magistrates and handling critical case documentation.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong administrative, clerical, data entry, and office support experience who thrive in structured, detail-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support in a fast-paced government office
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and mail from attorneys, paralegals, and agencies
• Perform document management, including filing, scanning, faxing, and photocopying
• Maintain accurate record-keeping systems and retrieve information as needed
• Process incoming and outgoing mail (sorting, stamping, distributing)
• Support magistrates with administrative tasks related to legal cases
• Ensure all communication is professional, accurate, and timely

Required Qualifications

• Strong clerical support, administrative assistant, or office assistant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic

Preferred Experience

• Experience in government, legal, court, or public sector environments
• Background in document processing, records management, or data entry
• Experience handling high-volume administrative tasks
