JobSummary AsaBusinessDevelopmentRepresentativeatPyro-CommSystems,Inc.,youwillworkcloselywiththeBusinessDevelopmentManagerandSalesteamtosupportthecreationandexpansionofnewbusinessopportunities.Yourrolefocusesonprospecting,qualifyingopportunities,andschedulingon-siteevaluations("sitewalks")forSalesRepresentatives,withthepotentialtoengageindirectsellingactivitiesasopportunitiesallow. Thispositioniscenteredonearly-stagebusinessdevelopmentandpipelinecreationandmayinvolvesellingsmallerormorestraightforwardopportunitiesdirectly.WhilelargerormorecomplexopportunitiesarehandedofftoSalesRepresentativesforproposaldevelopmentandclosing,theBDRplaysacriticalroleinensuringprospectsarequalified,prepared,and,whereappropriate,convertedintobusiness. KeyResponsibilities BusinessDevelopment&Prospecting IdentifyandqualifypotentialcustomeropportunitiesforPyro-CommSystems,Inc. Conductoutboundprospectingthroughphonecalls,email,andoutreachcampaigns. Engageprospectiveandexistingcustomerstoidentifyfireandlifesafetyserviceneeds. Scheduleandconfirmon-siteevaluations("sitewalks")forSalesRepresentatives. Self-generateopportunitiesthroughstructuredprospectingandoutreachefforts. SalesSupport&Documentation Maintainaccuratedocumentationofoutreachactivity,prospectingefforts,andsitewalks. Ensureopportunitiesareproperlyloggedandpreparedforsalesfollow-up. Providevisibilityintoactivityandpipelinethroughconsistentdocumentation. Qualifications&Skills Sales&Communication Comfortablewithoutboundcallingandprospecting. Strongverbalcommunicationskillsandconfidencespeakingwithcustomers. Abilitytobuildrapportandengageprofessionallywithdecision-makers. Organization&Professionalism Detail-orientedwithstrongdocumentationandfollow-upskills. Coachablemindsetandwillingnesstolearn. OtherRequirements Proficiencyincomputertoolsandsoftwarefordocumentationandcommunication. Abilitytoworkfull-timeon-siteinCarlsbad,CA(servingtheSanDiegoarea).
