Registered Dietitian Position

Are you a Registered Dietitian ready to impact the life of patients in a large hospital?

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our clinical team at Mount Sinai South Nassau located in Oceanside, NY. This 455-bed, Level 2 Trauma Center is an award-winning teaching hospital serving as the Long Island flagship hospital for the entire Mount Sinai system. This position will provide inpatient clinical care and support the hospital-wide malnutrition identification initiative.

What You'll Do

• Be well versed in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification;
• Provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on med/surg units;
• Be part of the inpatient RD team and work rotating weekends and holidays;
• Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process; and
• Efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
