Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current licensure or eligibility to practice as an OT in New Mexico
• Experience providing occupational therapy within a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Confidence working one-on-one with students of varied abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers and support staff
• Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
• Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and establish appropriate therapy goals
• Develop and update individualized educational programs (IEPs) and document student progress
• Collaborate with educators and caregivers to support students’ goals and classroom participation
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and contributing to student success strategies
• Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records in accordance with school policies
• Adapt activities and support materials to promote student independence and engagement in the academic setting
