Job Summary Associate Claim Representative, Outside Property Contents – responsible for handling first‑party property contents claims. This 9‑12 month training program culminates in independent claim handling. Work includes remote work and periodic on‑site inspections of residential and commercial properties. Compensation Base salary range: \$50,100.00 – \$82,600.00. Target openings: 1. Benefits Health insurance for employees and eligible family members from day one. Opportunity Position is part of the Claims Organization, focusing on first‑party property contents claims. You will receive comprehensive training covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures. Graduates are ready to handle claims independently and progress toward full claims responsibility. Responsibilities Participate in training classes (virtual, classroom, on‑the‑job). Review, investigate, and document 1st‑party property contents under close supervision. Investigate relevant facts and documents (leases, contracts, by‑laws, etc.). Determine and apply coverage for building damages per policy terms. Scope damages for contents losses as basis for estimates (written or computer‑assisted). Communicate promptly and professionally with customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate claim activity records in the claim management system. Show openness to continuous learning, especially regarding AI and digital transformation. Adapt to new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts. Acquire and maintain relevant insurance license(s) within three months of starting. Participate in the Catastrophe Response Program, possibly involving deployment to other states. Inspect all areas of a dwelling or structure, physically demanding, entering tight spaces (attic, crawl space, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate Profile Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to a positive experience for insureds and claimants. Sound judgment and decision‑making ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic conflict‑resolution skills with willingness to learn advanced techniques. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with one year of customer service experience OR Bachelor’s Degree. Valid driver’s license.
