Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) opportunity in Atlanta, GA, United States. This 13-week travel assignment starts on 07/20/2026 with a weekly pay range of $1,640 to $1,677 and guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Nights, 2x3 schedule. You’ll work on a high-acuity floor with a surgical/trauma focus in a hospital setting, using EPIC as the electronic medical record. The assignment requires flexibility to work the assigned shifts and does not permit RTO requests.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients on a high-acuity surgical/trauma med-surg unit, including post-operative and trauma care
- Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, administer medications and IV therapies, manage clinical interventions, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the ED and admitting teams to ensure smooth nurse handoffs and complete accurate documentation in EPIC
- Coordinate with on-unit support staff (Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and night unit secretary) to maintain efficient workflows
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care with an approximate 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio; participate in code response and rapid assessment as needed
- Provide care for patient populations identified in the assignment notes (surgical patients, gunshot injuries, quadriplegic and paraplegic patients) and support discharge planning as appropriate

Requirements
- BLS certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Surgical Trauma specialty
- ACLS certification preferred
- Must be willing to work assigned shifts ( Nights, 2x3 schedule) and comply with no RTO during the assignment
