Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse will deliver direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

Utilizing therapeutic communication techniques, you will maintain a safe and supportive environment. You will identify nursing challenges based on the unique needs of each patient and develop personalized care plans using an interdisciplinary approach. Participation in performance improvement initiatives is expected, as well as providing care that aligns with the hospital's mission and vision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs while executing physician orders.
• Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
• Documenting and communicating patient conditions appropriately using computerized systems.
• Educating patients and their families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
• Identifying nursing issues related to individual patient needs and planning tailored care using an interdisciplinary approach.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is required.
• Experience in Acute Care nursing is preferred.
