Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing therapeutic communication in daily interactions.
• Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Identifying nursing issues based on individual patient needs.
• Planning personalized patient care through an interdisciplinary approach.
• Engaging in performance improvement initiatives.
• Delivering care that aligns with the hospital’s mission and vision.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

• Assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs while executing physician orders.
• Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.
• Documenting and communicating patient conditions using computerized systems.
• Educating patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
• Identifying nursing problems and planning individualized care with an interdisciplinary approach.

Qualifications Required:

• Registered Nurse from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is required.
• Experience in acute care nursing is preferred.
