Senior Director, Business Development - West Coast - Remote

Worldwide Clinical Trials seeks a Senior Director of Business Development for the West Coast to drive revenue growth by building and maintaining client relationships in clinical research. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and delivering solution-based proposals to biotechnology and pharmaceutical sponsors.

Responsibilities

• Achieve revenue and sales objectives for late-phase clinical trial services to assigned client portfolio
• Identify and pursue new Phase II-IV business opportunities through strategic prospecting and networking
• Develop and defend proposals, including coordinating with internal teams and managing budget reviews
• Represent company at industry conferences and trade shows; manage all related logistics and activities
• Provide competitive intelligence, CRM updates, and bi-weekly sales reports to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or life sciences; Master's or MBA preferred
• Ten years of sales experience in Contract Research Organization industries
• Knowledge of drug development processes and clinical trial methodologies
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills with ability to work independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales management software
• Clinical operations background preferred
