CNC Machine Operator

Location: Youngstown, OH

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour to start (based on experience)

Overview

We are hiring a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. In this role, you will operate and monitor CNC milling and planing machines to produce high-quality precision parts while maintaining strict tolerances and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling and planing machines
• Secure, position, and align workpieces using fixtures and measuring tools
• Monitor machine operations and adjust controls as needed
• Inspect finished parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Verify conformance to blueprints, job orders, and specifications
• Load/unload materials using hand tools and hoists
• Replace worn cutting tools and install tooling in spindles
• Adjust speed, feed rates, and cutting depth based on material and specs
• Read and interpret blueprints and machining instructions
• Perform basic G-code and conversational programming
• Identify defects and take corrective actions
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Follow all PPE requirements and safety guidelines
• Report hazards and participate in safety meetings

Required Qualifications

• CNC machine operation experience (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with precision measuring tools
• Knowledge of G-code and/or conversational programming
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures
