Customs Trade Agent

Overview Responsible for coordination of the documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers. Provide impeccable customer service. Adhere to all international importing regulations. Work closely with other internal staff and departments to deliver high level of service to customers. Process agency brokerage shipments. Ensure all government and organizational policies are followed. Responsibilities Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet, or customs. Data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to US Customs; may handle limited Participating Government Agencies (PGAs). Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements. Coordinate with internal staff and departments to provide high-quality service to customers. Handle agency brokerage shipments and ensure compliance with all policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED required. No industry experience or work experience required. Data entry/keyboard experience required. Working knowledge of MS Office and email applications (e.g., Outlook) using multiple screens. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle a high volume of work, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials; interact with internal staff and management at all levels. Preferred Qualifications Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Mandatory overtime may be required during periods of high volume; may involve working on company-recognized holidays. HYBRID – Job will require training and onsite work for 3-6 months (or until productivity and accuracy standards are met). Thereafter, work-from-home options may become available. Pay and Benefits Pay: 14.04 - 21.93 USD Hourly Additional Details: HYBRID; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Atlanta, Georgia.
