Job Description Description: Job Type Full-time Description Position: Accountant Company: Mintahoe Catering & Events About Us: A family-owned company located in Minneapolis MN, Mintahoe opened its doors in 1993 with one catering van and a few grills. Today, Mintahoe Catering & Events is the largest catering company in Minnesota. With 4 busy catering divisions and signature venues, our talented team proudly caters more than 5,000 weddings, corporate events, private functions, and picnics each year. We are looking for an Accountant to collaborate with multiple divisions to ensure processes and controls are effective for the timely processing of financials. You’ll enjoy the interesting challenges of the competitive hospitality industry, and see your contributions impact virtually every area of the company. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Recording daily sale transactions and adjustments Processing refunds Accounts Receivable reconciliation Assist with Sales Tax Assist with period end close reconciliations Calculating and processing monthly sales and venue commissions Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger Provide back-up support for accounts payable and accounts receivable Special projects - coordinate and/or participate in special projects as directed by the controller or Owner(s) QUALIFICATIONS Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Experience in collaborating effectively across multiple departments Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook 365 QuickBooks experience strongly preferred Knowledge and aptitude of Caterease software is a plus Ability to be resilient and adaptable, working through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment Ability to work 40+ hours per week Mintahoe Catering & Events offers a benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401K plan with company contribution, and paid time off. #ZR #J-18808-Ljbffr
