Job OpportunityWe are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Diesel Service Mechanic to join our team at our Grimes, IA shop. This position involves performing diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and full repairs on diesel-powered equipment both in our shop and at construction job sites. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.All tools required for the position will be provided by the company at no cost to the employee.United Contractors, Inc. is an Iowa-based highway construction company with over 50 years of experience in the industry. We specialize in bridge construction but have the expertise to build any structure made from concrete or steel. With decades of experience and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, we've built a reputation as a trusted leader in the heavy construction industry across the Midwest.Comprehensive insurance includes dental, short-term disability, health, life, prescription, and vision. EMPLOYEE COVERAGE IS FREE after 2 months of service, and families may be added at a low premium. Other benefits include employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), 401k, year-end bonuses, training expenses and on-the job training, vacation, military and funeral leave, among other benefits.$1,500 Signing Bonus after 6 months of employment.
