Accounts Payable Clerk – Construction Accounting (Specializing in NTOs & Lien Releases) PositionSummary: Steadfast Contractors Alliance is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AccountsPayable Clerk to support our construction accounting department. This rolefocuses on processing vendor invoices, managing the Notice to Owner (NTO)process, tracking lien releases, and ensuring payment compliance with Floridaconstruction lien laws. The ideal candidate will be highly organized,deadline-driven, and familiar with the unique documentation requirements of theconstruction industry. EssentialDuties and Responsibilities: Receive,review, and enter vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system. Prepare, track,and maintain timely Notice to Owner (NTO) documentation in compliance withstate regulations. Collect,review, and file both conditional and unconditional lien releases forsubcontractors and vendors. Verify that allrequired lien waivers are received prior to releasing payments. Reconcilevendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner. Collaboratewith project managers and staff to verify proper coding andapproval of invoices. Maintainorganized filing systems (digital and physical) for NTOs, lien releases,and AP documents. Supportmonth-end close processes including job cost reporting and accruals. Assist withinternal and external audits by providing requested documentation. Ensureadherence to internal controls and accounting policies and procedures. Qualificationsand Requirements: Minimum 2 yearsof accounts payable experience, preferably in construction or a relatedindustry. Workingknowledge of Florida construction lien law, including NTO and lien releaseprocedures. Proficient inaccounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, Sage, or similarplatforms. High level ofaccuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Strong writtenand verbal communication skills. Ability tomanage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Proficient inMicrosoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. PreferredQualifications: Experienceworking in a multi-entity environment or with construction job costing. Familiaritywith AIA billing and construction compliance documentation. This role isbased in a professional office environment. Occasionalinteraction with field teams and vendors may be required.
